When do you do your Christmas shopping?

Full of good intentions, I purchase bit by bit throughout the year, but when it comes down to the wire, I always realize that I never got enough. Sometimes it doesn't seem like I got anything at all (making me think that maybe I've just been buying stuff for myself bit by bit throughout the year).

Well, we're almost down to the wire again, and I have to go out shopping.

So when do you all do your shopping?

I don't even begin to think about it until Thanksgiving. the last few years I wait until I get to the in-laws to finish some small stuff - stocking stuffers, etc.

Throughout the year. If I see something on sale LOML would like, I buy it, no matter when. Have an excellent hidey-hole.....

I didn't vote because I shop throughout the year. I pick up gifts as I find them, either in the stores or on e-bay/craigslist.

              Done as of last night.

Which would normally be early for me, except we are traveling tonight, so when you look at the deadline, I'm right on schedule.

In about 10 minuets, soon and LOML gets her hair done. I did make pens for everybody in the family. We just couldn't get started this year and had to wait for the SS check to be deposited.

I cheat. For the last 20 years, maybe even longer by now, I take my five daughters and two DIL's and if they are available some of the older(tradition is over 21) granddaughters out for dinner one evening and then we hit the mall and they help me buy my gifts for the LOML. Mostly clothes, the girls know exactly what my wife likes and most of all the right size. And then I give the stuff to our oldest daughter(the angel in the family) and she wraps it for me. The girls love it and it sure makes life easier for me and LOML gets exactly what she wants.
                  Works for me.

                    No caption for PANIC MODE!

I voted the week before. However, it usually isn't until the PANIC mode!

I usually tell my daughters that they better have their Amazon wishlist updated by the end of August and then I wait until the end of October before ordering. I abandoned the malls and stores about 5 years ago, can't stand the crowds and waiting, etc. This year all the family gets a pen that I made (23 total) in addition to the normal stuff. Always a problem to buy for my wife. I too have had an imaginectomy somwhere in my past.
