For all of you who read about my finger last month with the dryer, you've got to read this.
For almost a year the in-laws, SWMBO and I have been promising our boys a trip to Disney World for Christmas. Phillip, 8 and Stephen, 6 have been planning what rides and what to do. We even told Santa that we would be in Orlando and to stop there. We were going to meet up with my wife's brother and his wife and her family. Big ole party.
Stephen didn't sleep well last night, and wound up sleeping with mama and me. We figured it was another ear infection, which isn't good since he just had sinus/upper respiratory problems last week, requiring meds to get rid of.
This morning, he sounded horrible and felt even worse. Lisa took him to the pediatrician. Diagnosis for the ears was acute ear infection in both ears. And that, boys and girls, is the good news.
He has a strain of bacterial pneumonia and if it gets ANY worse, he will be admitted to the hospital. We had to cancel the trip. Due to logistics with a free condo and work and school, we could only go down for a week starting this Sat. Had to call the in-laws and break it to them and someone talked to Phillip. And then....
Mother in law is being admitted to the hospital right now. Her blood pressure went through the roof and she started feeling bad. Her heart is beating out of rhythm. They are going to monitor her for a couple of days and start her on some blood thinners. The in-laws were going to go on to Orlando just to meet up with Lisa's brother, his wife and her family, but that probably won't happen either.
So, any of y'all wanna go on vacation with me? Sad this is everytime we go somewhere, someone either gets REALLY sick or winds up hurt and at a hospital.

There will be other chances.
