    Need a little computer help

I have a very annoying Icon in my system tray that I would like to remove. The Icon was placed there by an anti spyware program I downloaded on a trial basis and then removed. The Icon flashes and a little popup come up saying my computer is infected with spyware and to remove click on Icon to get up to date spyware protection. If you click on Icon it takes you to a website that sells the software. How do I get rid of the little buger. I have uninstalled everything else installed by the software but can't figure out how to remove it from the system tray. I already have avery good spyware/virus protection on my computer.

    Thanks

    Tom

Start->Run, enter msconfig. Click Startup tab and look for the app you do not want to run any more. Clear the checkbox, then click Apply. Msconfig also tells you the location of the executable so you can remove it manually.
