    Things NOT to do

It's always nice to know what to do however what not to do can often be more helpful.

    What not do to:

    1. Do not dry your leather gloves (pigskin) in the Microwave Oven.
    2. Do not dry rocks in the Microwave Oven.
    3. If doing 2 above do not stand in front of the Microwave Oven.
    4. Do not tell SWMBO how you know not to do 1, 2, or 3 above.

What did you learn not to do today?

Oh how I love gullible neighbors!

One question that I am sure I will look like a fool for asking but, what will pigskin gloves do in the microwave?

And by the way...that is a good one..

I also recommend NOT drying your guinea pig after a bath...

Well at about 5 seconds they get nice and warm, still wet but warm. but if some kind sole decides to help while your are in the bathroom and nuke them for a few minutes more you get baked pigskin... sort of petrified.

If you make pens and make one out of a used cartridge, DON'T attempt to take it on an airline with you. No, I didn't do that but did ask others and was well warned not to!

Microwave: I had a couple of soft boiled eggs and the first was a little too soft. I put the other, peeled, in the MW for about 15 seconds. It did not explode until I bit into it. The pressure was just the right amount to keep it from self exploding, but enough that once my teeth pierced it, boooom! BURNS!

This was not me, but don't heat up water in a travel mug in the microwave. There is often metal underneath that plastic in the mug and you end up with a mug melted to the microwave turntable.

I had someone do that at work. it melted the brand new much he was so proud of and it ruined the microwave because of the terrible fumes.

never wipe off excess super glue with your finger like you would regular glue.

never put your head/face directly under the portion of the car you are working on. small nuts and bolts and even dirt are unpleasant when they hit you in the face. when the wrench slips...ouch!

always remove the fill plug before the drain plug. fluid will not refill through the drain plug.

never set your rags soaked with lacquer thinner on your welding bench when you are still going to be welding.

My brother in law did this in my microwave but, fortunately, realized it in time to just ruin his mug and not the microwave too. Wait, that was my mug...

I will not use the microwave at work. There is an inside joke between 2 of my mentally challanged coworkers that one of them dried his socks in the microwave...
