    Hey everyone, meet Goldie!

Today, we adopted Goldie. She is a VERY beautilful girl about 3 1/2 years old. She is blending into the family nicely and gets along well all ready with Cooper (our male golden).
The lady, that raised her from a puppy, recently died and her "daddy" is a full time law student so he just couldn't give her the time she needed.

The previous owners were the brother and sister-in-law of the vet's assistant where we take Cooper. At his last visit, Janet was telling Belinda about the situation and asked if we would like another golden. As it turned out, we had discussed getting Cooper a play mate just two nights before while on Coop's evening walk.

Well, long story short, Janet called last week to see if we were interested and set an appointment for us to meet Goldie, Friday of last week. It was pretty much love-at-first-sight, but since my daughter was going to be here for a few days with her dog, we decided to wait and bring her home when things weren't quite so up in the air.

She was hard to get a picture of, but you can still tell what a sweetie she is!

LOVE em... There's not another breed that typifies all the good things about dogs more than the goldens...

Congrats Larry! My first dog was a Golden. Not a better dog to be had IMHO.

Well, our first evening with Goldie went very well. I got a very warm welcome this morning. Even getting seriuos tail-wags all ready. She and Cooper are getting along very well, but Coop is a bit jealous and tries to steal all the love.
Goldies appears to be very well trained and it seem that she enjoys her evening walk as much as Cooper does.
While not quite as large as Cooper, she is still a large dog. Good thing we have a big house!
