    Expanding Foam Update..With Pic

Well, today I did the foam thing around the window and door. I would have included a pic of the door, but the foam got so big, I had to cut it off. I did the door first, and didn't know how much time I had to do the window, so I ran to the window and shot it. By the time I went back to look at the door, my one dog was laying on the floor in front of it and one cat was batting at it as it oozed out. It was a sight that was funny and curious, because I didn't know how much would still be coming out.

It got to be a glob about half the size of a basketball. Guess on that one I got carried away. The picture below is one corner of the window, and it got pretty globby, but not scary. For cutting off the glob at the door, I used one of those break away blade knives with the sliding blade...worked pretty good.

Thanks again for all the advice, this was fun.

    Cab,

Kinda looks like one of my glue-ups.

Friendly FYI, be careful how much you use in the future....
I have seen vinyl window frames bow because of the pressure the expanding foam can exert. It doesnt happen all that often, but for that reason I use the low expanding foam by dow - tough stuff or something like that.

Gotta be careful with that foam. Apparently it has a smell that dogs love, and they'll chow down before it's fully expanded. Not pretty!
