    deer hunting

    I am spending the week hunting in Wirt County WV. I am not bragging about the results, It was really too warm, in the 70,s and I didn't want to shoot something that I would have to be up about all night cutting up. Any ways this is a panoramic picture of the farm I was on. I am on a high ridge on the eastern side of the farm and the house shown is about in the middle of the property. They are on the third year of logging this place and I sure wish I had the means to take out a few loads of their discards such as logs that are hollow. I find it hard to believe that a 12 foot log that has a maybe 4 inch hollow showing on each end is not fit for cutting execpt for firewood.

    Sometimes the old man passed out and left the am radio on so I got to hear the oldie songs and current event kind of things

          Nice picture. You have less leaves on the trees than we do here. There is still some color around here. How far off is the house?

              David, I estimate that is about 750 yards, all uphill about 500 feet above the house acording to topo maps.
