That is cool! Not sure how useful the LCD stuff is but the power strips and work surface are great ideas.David

They have had these in the stores for a few months. They seem incredibly cheap with tons of plastic etc. The drawers and slides are nice, but this is just a down right silly thing IMHO.Comment

Paul, just think of what you could upgrade to. In addition to that power strip (good idea), you could add a water fountain, small stainless sink, soap dispenser, pencil sharpener, AM/FM stereo control center, speakers, mini TV (color of course), your PC with monitor (might as well so you can keep track of the forum), and last but not least a PEZ dispenser. You'll probably still be within the budget.

When I turned wrenchs for the family mechanic, Snap~on tried to recruit me, because I knew more about the tools, then the ones they kept bringing in. But I wasn't the sucker for the cost of it all.
In their catalog, they had an alarm system, for their toolboxes. It wasn't as impressive as I would have liked it to be (wanted a remote activator, like a car alarm "chirp, chirp"). But it was humorous and expensive ($750).She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.Comment

My second hand lower drawer cabinet has a pull out work surface tray. It is too small to act as a work bench but is just perfect as a catch all for tools that I'm not currently using which makes the top three drawers hard to get to. Wish I did not have it.
Ownership of this will likely impress your friends!Last edited by Black wallnut; 11-25-2007, 11:09 AM.Donate to my Tour de Cure

The prices on some of these tool boxes astonishes me any more...
You can buy a car for less money than some of these things...

At least yours takes some craftsmanship, unlike those $20K stamped steel monstrosities from Matco, SnapOn et.al.Comment
