    All Christmas Music

A local radio station here went to all christmas music yesterday. It's bad enought that they do that but now??? I could see maybestarting it a week or two before Christmas, but not 6.

Some stations around here switched the day after Halloween.

My town put up decorations and turned them on last weekend.

Some stores had their Christmas displays up the first week of October.

It's getting ridiculous. By the time Christmas actually rolls around I am absolutely sick and tired of the music, gaudy lights and cheesy displays.

Glad to see I'm not the only one annoyed by this.

Two stations here started playing their Christmas music around Halloween, in an effort to be first.
October 1st, I was at Sam's club, and they had the Halloween inflatable display up, beside it, you could buy a "holiday" poinsettia (spelling?).
I don't completely mind, as in a week or two, I should be THEN able to hit the after Christmas sales and the spring tool sales by December 9th.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Great thing about radio is that, if you don't like what's playing, you can turn it off... I have even more dislike for the stores and businesses who have it playing on the intercom, in the john, and in the elevators. No way to turn that off. By the time Christmas really gets here, you're already sick of it.

How about the poor store employees? I was in some local business, can't remember which one, that already had its house system playing Christmas music two weeks before Halloween. It wasn't one of those year-round Christmas shops, either. I give its personnel about five more days until I'm reading about them in the paper.

Pretty soon we'll just have Christmas year round!! Retailers talk about the Christmas season is when they make their money, but I don't know how they can tell what is the Christmas season and what's not anymore.
