Amazon - Great Karma Needed !!!

A really good friend of mine referred me over to an open job position that is Director of Tools in the Home Improvement Group @ Amazon HQ here in Seattle. Just for grins I applied and have my first interview set up with the H/R recruiter early next week (it's a three to four step process to get hired). Wouldn't that be the ultimate bargain alert to have a direct inside source that is responsible for all tools / home improvement products sold @ Amazon !!! It's probably a really really really long shot as I don't have a merchandising / big box background but you never know until you know.

So ... toss some sawdust over your left shoulder, knock three times on the lumber in your wood rack, speak to whoever is your Higher Power (my first name is Jim so they know who you're talking about), and wish me luck !!!

Very cool indeed! I spent my entire working career selling to big boxes. If you have any questions and a perspective from the seller's side would help, please PM me.

The best of luck to you.

          Cheers,

          MikeR

Good luck. You know if you get this job you're gonna suddenly have a lot of friends, right?

Geez, I just got assigned as the official purchaser for our company's Amazon account, and I thought that was a good deal!

Good luck, and if you get it, remember all your buddies here

Good luck! Hope it works out for you!

We did some risk management / policy analysis for Amazon about 6 months ago. The guy working on the project stated that he heard some grumbling about salary, so go in there fighting hard!

Note : Those folks heard grumbling were in middle management in field distribution centers on the east coast and NV. We only reported findings to WA HQ. Things could be much different in WA.

                  Anyway . . . GOOD LUCK!

From someone whose spent a lifetime obtaining positions that I wasn't qualified for, keep a positive attitude, and make them believe that your the one. Good luck.

Dear 'Higher Power', please help me to get this sawdust out of my eye and the splinters out of my knuckles. I was just trying to get your attention for some help for Jim and his current job prospect. See what you can do that would be the best for him and don't hold against him the sawdust and splinters that I now have. Amen"

                      HTH!
                      Blessings,
                      Chiz
