    The Pope Takes a Tour

" This is not meant to be religious, anti-religious, political or to offend anyone. Just funny.

The Pope took a couple of days off to visit the rugged mountains of Alaska for some sightseeing. He was cruising along the campground in the Pope Mobile when there was a frantic commotion just at the edge of the woods.

A helpless Democrat, wearing sandals, shorts, a "Save the Whales" hat, and a "To H*ll with Bush" T-shirt, was screaming while struggling frantically, and thrashing around trying to free himself from the grasp of a 10-foot grizzly. As the Pope watched in horror, a group of Republican loggers came racing up. One quickly fired a 44 magnum into the bear's chest. The other two reached up and pulled the bleeding, semiconscious Democrat from the bear's grasp. Then using long clubs, the three loggers finished off the bear and two of them threw it onto the bed of their truck while the other tenderly placed the injured Democrat in the back seat. As they prepared to leave, the Pope summoned them to come over.

"I give you my blessing for your brave actions!" he told them. "I heard there was a bitter hatred between Republican loggers and Democratic Environmental activists, but now I've seen with my own eyes that this is not true."

As the Pope drove off, one of the loggers asked his buddies "Who was that guy?"

"It was the Pope," another replied. "He's in direct contact with Heaven and has access to all wisdom."

"Well," the logger said, "he may have access to all wisdom but he doesn't know squat about bear hunting! By the way, is the bait holding up, or do we need to go back to Massachusetts and get another one?

It may be funny, yes, but the pre-disclaimer and clarity of intention does not invalidate the political nature of the story. The form of content therefore, makes it political.

Sure, but it's also religious, maybe they negate each other, sorta like 'fire fights fire' .

Okay, now that I laughed my a** off at the joke (and picked it back up off the floor), I am now upset .

Another non political, non religious, Pope joke.

The Pope was touring the United States in a limo with dark windows. After driving through the countryside enjoying the sights for several hours he decides that it's been years since he had driven a car and would like to drive the limo for awhile.
The Pope jumps in the drivers seat and the chauffeur jumps in the back.
The Pope is cruising along, enjoying driving and not really paying attention how fast he is going when a trooper pulls him over for speeding.
Upon seeing the Pope the trooper panics and goes back to his patrol car to call the chief for advice.
"Chief, what do you do if you have someone important pulled over?" asks the trooper
"Do you have the governor pulled over?" replies the chief
"No, much more important" says the trooper
"Is it the President?" asked the chief
"No, much more important!" the trooper says
"more important then the President? who did you pull over?" asks the chief
"I don't know, but he has the Pope for a chauffeur!"
