Any good new TV shows this season?

I have yet to see a great new show.
Bionic Woman and Moonlight are less than I had hoped.
    Pushing Daisies is just weird
Dirty Sexy Money is worth watching but not great.
Big Bang Theory looks pretty funny.
    Am I missing anything good?

Only new show I like is this show called Chuck. Kind of a nerdy spy show.

If you like British comedy, look put for "Supernova" on PBS. Quite funny!

I don't even know if there were any good ones last season... I have so little time for TV anymore, and what I've seen recently does not bode well at all. Between lame-ass reality shows, celebrities looking like idiots, and commercials ten at a stretch, I just can't stand it.

The only new show that I've picked up is Bionic Woman - it was actually more than I expected, since I was expecting utter crap. It's still kinda weird and so we'll see. I've actually dropped shows this year and watching less TV.
Only other show I'm actually waiting for is the final season of Battlestar Galactica, but then, not even much - the last season was "WTF?"

              At our house....
Monday - Hero's, Chuck and Journeyman.
              Tuesdays - Bones & House
Wednesday - Pushing Daisies, Bionic Woman (maybe) & Life
Thursdays - The Office, Scrubs, My Name is Earl & Survivor
Friday - Friday Night Lights, The next great american band (something to watch)
Saturday - Movie night or catch up on the DVR night
Sunday - The Amazing Race, Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy & American Dad

We're really digging Chuck, the LOML is liking Journeyman and Life is decent but the female partner is not that good IMHO. We'll watch American Idol and Lost when they return. I'll also DVR This Old House and NYW plus grab some Extreme Engineering, Extreme Machines and Build it bigger. We watch a lot of freakin TV....

I expected "The Big Bang Theory" to be just be something to fill the space between two established shows, but it's proving much funnier than expected. In the same time slot on another network, "Aliens In America" is pretty good, too.

"Journeyman" is already exhibiting the same problem that plagues a lot of high-concept shows: someone comes up with a fresh and original idea but it's only good for one or two episodes. After that, it's the exact same, highly-predictable formula week after week, with even less variation than most of the formulaic shows littering prime-time television.

"Back To You," the new Kelsy Grammer/Patricia Heaton vehicle, has potential but so far hasn't completely clicked. I was hoping for something a little more WKRP-ish.

I watched the premier episode of "Bionic Woman." That was all I needed to see.

"Cane" is this year's new guilty pleasure. Move "Dallas" to Miami and trade oil for rum, and you've got it. Jimmy Smits is always interesting to watch.

I know a lot of people share your opinion but I don't. I think network TV is pretty good right now. I find a show on almost every night that I look forward to.

                    Bones
                    2 1/2 Men
                    Rules of Engagement

                    Heroes

                    Lost
American Idol (I can watch with my whole family)

                    Simpsons
                    Grey's Anatomy
                    Amazing Race
The home makeover show on Sunday nights
                    NCIS

Show I cannot believe is still on

There are new shows on TV? They all look like the same old garbage to me. But then, I don't really watch TV at all. I use the TV as a display to watch DVD's.

If there were actually any decent Sci-fi on anymore I'd probably watch that. But it's not worth a more expensive cable package for that joke of a sci-fi channel. The last network TV that I really watched was Enterprise. I'd watch the new Doctor Who if it wasn't cheaper to wait for the DVD's and buy them than to get the cable package with the right channel. Even moreso for Torchwood, it's on BBC America that requires digital cable.

Boy, I really sound like my dad when it comes to TV....

Around here when I was not working Monday nights I would watch CSI: Miami, every week. Now I watch those re-run shows on A&E.

But every Tuesday night I hurry home from bowling to watch The Unit, I think its worth watching and it has the actor that played President Palmer in 24, the first president Palmer that is. And then on Thursdays we watch Survivor and CSI, but I don't get to watch those all because I work at 10 so I only catch a little bit of them. Other than that we find movies on Encore and HBO to watch.

I watched only a couple of BG, it was ok, but I grew up with the campy version. I joked about with a friend who likes it, that the ending is going to be a BG1980 repeat.

I wish they allowed you to buy cable by the channel, or NOT to have it and have a cheaper cable modem bill. Stargate SG-1 and Dr. Who were it for me. Stargate started cutting down the number of episodes per season, and started loosing until the last season (Atlantis doesn't cut it). Dr. Who, has been kinda mixed, but fun to watch (watched it growing up). However, now I get my fix from YouTube, since I don't have that channel.
I kinda like NCIS, but it comes on at a horrible time, and if I record it, I never find the time to get back to watch it. I keep thinking of pinyataing my tv and seeing about going on without it.

As for Supernova, not all PBS stations carry it (I can't even find out what it is about through mine)
TV just makes you depressed and want to spend money, I don't need that.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

My problems are this: 1) I can't tell half of them apart. 2) So many of them require that you watch the previous episode and the subsequent one in order to understand it. 3) Some seem to go from new material to reruns and back again without rhyme or reason. 4) You now get about 15 minutes of show and 45 minutes of commercials (much of it shameless self-promotion of other shows) for every hour of programming. It's all mind-numbing garbage, and I think I hate it.

That could be me ranting ! I am virtually never in front of the TV nowadays.

But I dunno about 'all mind-numbing garbage'; I'm sure there must be some I'd want to watch, but then I'd need time to go thru all the rest to find the good ones; and time is one thing I don't have.

So if somebody stole my TV today, I'd be real slow in wanting to replace it . Maybe I'd get some of the cartoon/disney shows on the computer and reclaim the space the TV occupies .
