I almost cried.

I am helping my friend Clean out a Barn full of crap left by the guy he bought it off. I realised we had maybe 3 tons of steel stored about the place, so I suggested, that we take it to the scrap yard rather than pay the garbage man to take it away.

I took the first load in this morning. As I am tossing stuff on the pile, a heating/Cooling truck comes in and the kid starts pitching out old furnances. I keep glancing over, and suddenly he is pitching out green painted sheet steel with white stripes.

I think to myslef I have seen that pattern before, and it means something, so I watch and I see a piece come out that has the word Power on it. The I see a piece that has, can you guess yet? YES it says MATIC on it.

These idoits decided they did not need to saw any more, and since the two of them could not lift it into the truck, THEY TOOK A TORCH TO IT, AND CUT IT UP!

I think it was a model 66 but could not really tell since it was so cut up. The table was in two pieces, it definatly has the long 50 inch rails for the fence, which they bent is half to make it easier to get in the truck.

I asked if they had any other scrap to get rid of. They said no.

I told them they could probably have easily gotten $1000 for the saw, and they looked at me like I was crazy.

I had to go drown my sorrow in beer.
