    Pumpkin Carving with POWER TOOLS!

Yes folks it's that time of year again and to make it easier I found this web site.
Here you can find hints and tips on using your power tools to carve a pumpkin that the neighbors will be jealous of. For those of us into a more pirotechnic display there is a video of using a roll of toilet paper soaked in kerosene to put some show into your pumpkin. Link goes to power tools page.

    I have a HUGE problem with one of his statements . . . .

"I just recently bought a router and there aren't many uses for one, but it removes the skin of a pumpkin like nobody's business."

Maybe the guy is taking it personally that the Dremel pumpkin carver just hasn't sold all that well.

If he had any sense, he'd know the router is better for making dovetails with the pumpkin than taking its skin off.

Wonder if he finds uses for his router in those areas...

Or his sawzall. That image reminds me of a scene from the movie "Top Secret"

                  no powertools after all

My daughter requested a Jack-O-Lantern with braces (like her).

Put a dirty old bit in my dirty old drill to get started, but ended up just using a steak knife...

No pumpkingutter.com, but I had fun.

Seems to me pumpkin carving is messy enough without introducing power tools into the mix.

Slimy punkin' guts all over your hands while trying to guide a router over the irregular surface somehow seems less than safe to me.
