The outfit is Talarico Hardwoods in easter PA. They specialize in hardwoods which he buys in the US and Europe and apparently he love to quartersaw these woods - not exclusively. There are some pics on the various pages of beautiful grains from crotches and burls. It's enough to make your eyes fall out of your head. Man, I wish I was good enough to make effective use of some of his stuff. Check them out an enjoy the view!

I've been to Talarico. I will never go back. Not a nice guy. And I was with a guy who bought over $10,000 worth of curly english sycamore. I can assure you that if there if anyone else had any volume of this stuff in PA we would walked. His QSWO, both old growth and regular growth is grossly overprice, as is the quarter sawn cherry. Now maybe the dude was having the worst day of his life. I don't know. I just know we were treated rather harshly.
Looks like a nice hippie guy . . . fair warning.
That English Oak Burr is awesome . . . -
Is he north of Philly? I don't plan a trip - just curious. Yea, I saw the pricing page. Too bad he's a grouch. Sometimes you don't mind taking a price beating as much if the people are amiable. LOL!Blessings,
Chiz

Yeah, I agree with you. At least he should smile when he takes your money. Or is that the only time?Comment
