He's not selling you anything special, the TV stations that he claims you can watch on your PC are already available to you via the internet. If they we'ren't, what he is doing would not be legal. Look at the web sites for the big networks and cable stations such as CNN. Look for their streaming media and watch now links, you'll find plenty of content you can watch, including live TV using the software you already have on your PC.
Read the whole page, he is supposedly selling software, not a satelite system. I would bet that it is actually just an open source media player (a knock off of windows media player) that he has re-packaged so that he can sell it on E-Bay to the unsuspecting.

Sounds like a pirating of Satellite signals to me. You will use the special receiver and software to get Dish network , Direct TV and any other Sat. Signal you can find. Totaly illegal. I know I used to do it. but we go caught and it cost my good friend and I $5000 to avoid prosecution. It was a fun game while it lasted. We used to reprogam the little cards in the receivers to get all the channel and then the Companys would do something to screw us up and we would go at it again we even used a DOS comuter and floppy disk on one system. Took them 5 years to crack the code and find the guy who designed it. He lived in Canada. I was paying for Dish Network in 2 room but was stealing both Dish Network and Direct TV in my den. I did not do it for the free TV. To me it was the challenge. Been out of it for 6 years or so. My advice is be careful and you may be paying over and over for the software because the Satellite Companies are still working to disrupt the your software. Now I have a shop and woodworking tools which is just a challenging and in the long run cheaper. The remote in the picture looks just like the 4 remotes I have for our Dishnetwork receivers.

On the other hand they could (not saying they are for sure) be just broadcasting FTA channels. Which are completely legal. No PPV or movie channels but completely legit.-PaulComment
