    Joy again

Remember some time ago I posted about losing my 12 year old Japanese Chin. Well, please welcome her replacement. She is as-yet, unamed, but we're working on it. She is 11 weeks old today. Sure does mend a broken heart.

Very cute puppy there. I am glad that you have found the joy again.

How about Ryobi? or Dee (short for Dewalt)?

Just trying to help with names, on our first dog we got after Mark and I were married I couldn't come up with a name so Mark named the female black lab after a favorite character in the book Lonesome Dove, her name was Clara, and the second dog we got was Lori, from the same book.
Mrs. Wallnut a.k.a (the head nut).

        Dave,

That's one adorable puppy...the first picture looks like a stuffed animal! She reminds me of those black-and-white cookies that delis used to sell (maybe still do, but the closest deli is a couple of hundred miles away).

          Good for you Dave!

I recently lost my cat Alex. He was 17 years old and had been my best buddy. He passed away in my arms on the way to the vet and I was crushed. Fortunatley, I had my yellow lab Samantha and my daughter's cat Louie to comfort me in my time of loss (my wife too of course). It seemed that they knew what had happened and acted differently on the few days following.

Enjoy the time with your new friend and appreciate what it is that our pets provide to us. As far as a name goes, she has a name but she she just hasn't told you yet

Congrats on the new family member!

I know I don't get a vote, but if I did, she looks like a "Panda" to me...

It's ironic, but my wife and I have remarked often about how much she resembles a "Panda". That has possibilities. Sounds better when someone else says it.

              Thanks Scott.

                Beautiful coloring on her!

Pandas don't get named until they're 100 days old, so you've still got a month to come up with a name.

Could use one of those panda-like names... Ling-Ling, Ying-Ying, etc.

Congratulations, she looks like a beaut!

Now you have to worry about training her to sit and come, feeding her, putting her to bed at night, yelling at her to stop being so loud or stop digging, taking her to pee, cleaning up the poop...oh sorry, I was thinking of my KIDS! Dogs aren't nearly so much trouble (and college costs are cheaper).

Been thinking about Tamiko or Mochi. I like both, but SWMBO doesn't, so what do ya do?
I like what goslin23 said. She already has a name, she just hasn't told us yet.

Cute pup. I'm glad you've found a new friend. We had an American Eskimo pass on last March. Soon after we got a golden retriever pup since our other American Eskimo is 14 already. It definitely takes the sting out. Not a cure but helps ease the pain.

I almost forgot. I think the new Bud Light commercial with the American Eskimos was sent from Sierra. She looks just like one of them and was a yapper! She preferred to try and drink my beer however, not guard it
