    Such A Deal!!

According to Autoweek a UK company, Holders Vehicle Contracts (HVC) a leasing agent is renting the Bugatti Veyron. For $40,000 per day with a 50 mile limit only requires a $303,000 security deposit. Might sound high, but it's the worlds fastest car. Whaddya say, we all chip in.

I believe you'll find your answer in this video.

According to the February 2007 issue of Road & Track Magazine, the Veyron accomplished the quarter mile in 10.2 seconds at a speed of 142.9 mph.

Not the full video unfortunately. In the full one, he mentions that he almost opened the door to get out, thinking he was stopping (under 10MPH and looked down at the speedo, and was in the 70-80MPH range. It didn't feel like it was driving.

IOW Have your lawyers phone number handy before driving.

Nice try Greg. In order to be fair, I did a little math. If we all chip in, and we have a 50 mile limit for the day, each of us will get to drive 34 ft. The rental cost for the 50 miles is about $800 per mile, which is only .15 cents per foot for each of us.

Here's another version of the Top Gear test drive http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...15890703519062

            This is one bad car!

Neighbor's, son's, girlfriend came over last Thursday from a local dealer with one of these: http://www.geocities.com/srlt_3000/2...0_spider-2.jpg

I almost cried when his son asked me if I wanted to go for a spin in it, that was something. 75 mph in second gear. (There's pics too, gotta get them from my neighbor on his day off)

I'd probably have a heart attack if I got to stand in front of a Veyron.

My boss drove in a few weeks ago with an Aston Martin Vantage V8. It is one sweet looking piece of machinery. Now he has to decide between driving it, one of his 2 Land Rovers (newer one and classic) or his Ducati Motorcycle. I couldn't afford one wheel from any of them

He'll be able to make that decision, the same way he decided to buy the car for himself and then rub y'all's noses in it... I hate bosses...

Remember at top speed, you run out of gas in (if I remember) 13 minutes. That is at least a while before your tires go (50 minutes).

Let's see... Ya gotta stop every 50 miles for a tank of gas and new tires... Sounds like an old Rambler I used to have. You'd think for $1.6mil, Bugatti could improve on that...
