    A Scrumptious Repast

    Dinner at my folks' tonight. We had burgers, brats, deviled eggs, cucumber/tomato salad and potato salad. Only thing not fresh from their farm was the potatoes in the salad and the beer. Oh yeah, the Ice Cream wasn't either but it was made on a farm just up the road.

      For dinner at the Cracker Box today, I selected nicely marbled ribeyes, blackened Cajun-style in a cast iron skillet, with a big pot of pole beans, new potatoes and hocks. Wine was an excellent Oregon Pinot. Dessert was freezing cold Beck's Dark. Life is good...

          We had leftover cold cuts, store bought mild salsa (ugh) and tostitos, some generic swiss cheese with no holes, water, and for dessert, a choice of Oreo Double Stuf cookies, York peppermint patties, or apple crumb pie, which was store bought and not too bad.
