    A Small Trip

    aka A Little Journey

Just a small-town girl livin' in a lonley world
She take the midnight train goin' anywhere...
Just a city boy born and raised in south Detroit
He takes the midnight train goin anywhere...

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Now that you will be singing that song for the rest of the day, my work is done here.
    David

      Oh, Davey...Backatcha!

Jenny, Jenny, who can I turn to?
You give me something I can hold on to.
I know you think I'm like the others before
Who saw your name and number on the wall

      Jenny, I got your number,
I need to make you mine.
      Jenny, don't change your number,
      8-6-7-5-3-0-9 (8-6-7-5-3-0-9)
      8-6-7-5-3-0-9 (8-6-7-5-3-0-9)

OK, I'll see you and raise you:

Ooh my little pretty one, pretty one.
When you gonna give me some time, Sharona?
Ooh you make my motor run, my motor run.
Gun it comin' off the line Sharona.
Never gonna stop, give it up.
Such a dirty mind. Always get it up for the touch
of the younger kind. My my my my woo. M M M My Sharona...

(Betcha didn't know that song was so naughty, didjya...)

You are a sick, mean man.

At least some of the respones helped get Journey out of my head...I rate them somewhere below the bottom of my list of most detested bands. Unfortunately, the lead singer is from my wife's hometown so she feels some weird obligation to adore them. ugh.

                        Ultimate Revenge!!!!!!

In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
                        In the land of submarines

So we sailed up to the sun
Till we found the sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
                        In our yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine
                        Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
                        Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

And our friends are all on board
Many more of them live next door
And the band begins to play

We all live in a yellow submarine
                        Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
                        Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

As we live a life of ease
Everyone of us has all we need
Sky of blue and sea of green
                        In our yellow submarine

We all live in a yellow submarine
                        Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
                        Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
                        Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
                        Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

Good one David, I did some Journey songs at weddings but I have to sing this one around the home for a certain person. it's her favorite.

I got sunshine, On a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside, I've got the month of may.
                          I guess you'd say,
What can make me feel this way?

                          [Chorus]
My girl, my girl, my girl.
                          Talkin' 'bout my girl.
                          My girl!

I've got so much honey, The bees envy me.
I've got a sweeter song, Than the birds in the trees.
                          Well, I guess you'd say,
What can make me feel this way?

                          [Chorus]
                          Ooo-ooo, hoo-ooo.

I don't need no money, Fortune or fame.
I got all the riches baby, One man can claim.
                          Well, I guess you'd say,
What can make me feel this way?
