My other thought is the only way they would want to cut Vick a deal is if he gives up big fish??? Really, I would imagine they would insist he name names or go to be the Prom Princess of cell block "C"...

Sad to See someone with so much have such serious problems...

Last something people might no know is that for these fighting dogs...the "trainers" scour residential neighborhoods for dogs to nab. These poor souls are then used as training for the fighting dogs. I was appalled when I learned about this being one of the big causes of missing pets.
I don't see that he has 'problems'. He has chosen to be a part of the 'gangsta' lifestyle for years. That's not a 'problem', it's a choice made by a man that is bad to the core.

"In the agreement, Vick agreed to plead guilty to the first count of the original two-count indictment against him -- that he was part of a conspiracy to operate a dogfighting ring across state lines. In return for the guilty plea and Vick's cooperation, the government agreed to seek a departure from the federal sentencing guidelines, though U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson is not bound by any recommendation or by the sentencing guidelines."

From what I read the max for the conspiracy charge is 5 years.

So he is looking at 12-18months for the plea PLUS the conspiracy charge. He also forfeits the plea if he doesn't cooperate in the rest of the investigation.

That's what happens when this twisted society compensates athletes millions of dollars regardless of how many brain cells they have to rub together. Whatever he gets for a sentence or monetary penalty, it won't be severe enough in my book. Depite the occasional bobblehead/chew pic has anybody started marketing the Michael Vick chew toy?

You watch, he will end up making a living going on the lecture circuit speaking against animal cruelty.

There had been talk that sellers would be compelled legally to avoid the Falcon-esque uniform, and another one went on sale, but the legal situation this week may have changed things.

BTW, Mike Florio, the lawyer, has a good piece today pointing out the many reasons it's going to be some years before it's realistic to expect Vick to play again:

Couldn't be said better than that. It won't be long before we are hearing how he was abused or taken advantage of, or some other off the wall reason why he did what he did. Heck, maybe he lived too close to the railroad tracks and the noise of the trains caused him to act this way.

Yeah, that's it, lets blame it on the railroad.

You never hear much about the good guys. Not news worthy. The 'Triplets' are examples. Troy wrote a kids' book about his football experiences. Every penny went to fund the childrens foundation he set up. Emmet gave both his time and money to help different charities. Michael, for all the public flash, was a family man devoted to his kids.

Farve is a big kid that continues to play the game because he loves it. You don't hear much about him except from the announcers during a GB game. Now let him get busted at a drug and sex party, he will be in the news for months.

Another thing not in Vics favor is that Judge Hudson owns one of these, a Bichon Frise. I wouldn't want a dog loving judge if my name was Vick.

I saw on the news last night that the rescue groups are being bombarded with vick jersey donations for the pups to use as bedding and chew toys.

I wonder when it all sunk in...when Vick realized, it's all gone.

But I bet he also thinks it's all his cousin's fault--the one whose pot bust in April led to the initial property search. That things would be fine now if his cousin just hadn't lit that joint....

We have a Bichon/Yorkshire Terrier mix and I swear that dog is smarter than both of us. He is our little boy and love him to death as he does us. If someone were to hurt him, well..........................
