For classic rock lovers
I just read that the Eagles will be having a new album coming out:

The Eagles album will be featuring their core lineup since 1977, minus Don Felder. Glenn Frey and Don Felder got into a memorable fistfight after their last concert in 1980, and Felder eventually sued his bandmates. Too bad he's got such sour grapes--that 3-guitar punch was really something. I wasn't a HUGE fan, but their songs were pretty much the soundtrack to my life in high school.
And Robert Plant, yes that Robert Plant, will be coming out with an album with Alison Krauss.

This is a blues-oriented album featuring some great bluegrass musicians, including one of my favorites Norman Blake, who recently moved back to Sulfur Springs GA near where I grew up. My neighbor played bass at his housewarming party. (And told me that years ago Johnny Cash almost broke up Norman's marriage when he had an affair with Norman's wife Nancy.)
And Cheap Trick, who played near here last week (though I couldn't see them), will be doing several shows where they play Sgt. Pepper's album in its entirety. That'd be something to see.
So hey, being a baby boomer ain't all bad. There's still a lot of life among those of us who are still around.
