back to wearing long pants and 2 shoes!

I had a good visit with the doctor yesterday. The ankle has healed up enough to get rid of the "bionic-booty"! I still have to take it easy for another 6-8 weeks, wear a splint for a another couple weeks and learn how to walk "normally". Ankle is a bit sore this morning, but it's the that of sire that comes from over a month of not flexing.

Never knew it would feel so good to be able to wear long pants and both shoes!

Glad to hear about your good fortune Larry. Take it easy on that tender thing for a while as I am sure you are already doing.

I'll bet you can feel the lure of the shop tempting you! Congrats on a good recovery!

Thanks fellows, I really appreciate it! Yes, the lure of the shop is strong. In fact, I have a buddy coming over tomorrow to help me finish up the job I was doing when I broke the ankle! We hope to have the old house sold in the next week so I need to get my collector out of the old and into the new shop!

How is your ex coming along? If I remember correctly, she was going to have surgery.

I feel for ya Larry. I tore the ligament in the ankle off the bone back in the 80's in an unfortunate air-guitar accident (the truth.. don't ask!) Surgery was 2 weeks before my wedding and I walked down the aisle on crutches (kinda forshadowed the actual marriage, we were divorced about 14 months later).

I remember how good I felt getting that thing off my leg! Now get back out there and got that project done!! (but don't push yourself too hard)

                      Ed,
Last report from my son is that she is doing pretty well. Took the doctors over three hours to piece everything back together. She is now in her third cast and has been cleared to go back to work. Fortunately, she works from home via the computer so she doesn't have to worry about commuting and can stay comfortable. She still nneds a lot of assistance to get around and has a long recovery in front of her.

That's a long time in surgery. I'm glad she's on the road to recovery, and doesn't have to travel for work.
