I love to torture faulty electroics. It began when a friend's parents replaced their second-hand store toaster, which worked beautifully, with a four slice, auto-lowering, slow raising model with a belled timer. That thing never worked right and would sometimes fling the toast onto the floor. On year Davey invited a bunch of us over for a barn roofing party and after the work was done he died the new toaster to a tree limb by its own cord. We took turns with a 22 lr rifle in what became known as the Annual Toaster Shoot. I moved away but have since taught my daughters the joy of peppering their most despised electronics with lead in varying calibers. And now, their husbands have joined our happy throng in our stress relieving mission. It does feel good!
(edit) Oh yea, just to relieve your concerns we clean up carefully (tarps are spread out) and we don't do CRTs.Blessings,
Chiz

An ad that ends with "the frustration ends when XT arrives"?
I didn't realize that my father found a home for his old IBM XT, or that the world was going back to dos and 64K. I guess life really is a circle. She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.Comment
