WalMart has an Emerson slimline telephone for $6.00 that sports a large flashing light when it rings.

Phone as a shop safety feature.....

Not to hijack your thread, but having a shop phone or a cell phone with you when you area working, seems to be a very good idea.

I like the light. You won't miss a call because you can't hear it.

I have Uniden CLX485 5.8GHz expandable phone, and one of the TCX440 handsets is in the shop. (don't looks at that price, last 2 handsets I added cost me $35 apiece). The large color screen on the phone lights up when phone is ringing - very hard to miss.

I also have the Uniden phone, one thing I like is the intercom, You can name each phone and it will display "Johns Shop" when it rings up at the house. Saves me from burrning cell phone tiem to call up there.

I have one of my cordless ATT phones out in the shop. You can page from the handset too which is nice. It rights loud enough I can hear it over the saw, router, etc.
