    Same color illusion

    Astromony Picture of the Day has this illusion, hard to beleive, but it is true.

    LINK Is A and B the same color? If you go to the link and click on the picture it is demonstrated. Something to think about next time you are trying to match a shade of paint of stain.

      Even though I knew it was true, I still opened the first photo in Photoshop to make sure.

      I'm too skeptical.

          When I view it, it appears to "morph" from A to B. Totally different to me.
          Downunder ... 1" = 25.4mm

              As did I. r=120. g=120, b=120. I also knew it would be true, but I have to admit that it sure looks different.

                  Believe it or not, the top of the cylinder is also the same!
