    Help!

Some may have seen my thread in Project Discussions about the edge banding and stain? Yeah, well, dad's band saw bit the dust tonight, and I'm in a pickle (dead motor, new one is on order). The woodwork needs to get done ASAP.

So does anyone feel like loaning me access to their bandsaw for an hour or so? I need to resaw some 3/4" red oak into strips for said edge banding. I'd do it on the table saw, but my test piece was a disaster, as the chunks I'm cutting are just too **** small (range from 1/8" to 3/4").

I'll bring the wood and some cash for the trouble, and drive as far as I need to. I'm in the NW burbs of Chicago, very close to Woodfield (aka, 290 & 90).

    Thanks in advance

What city do live near and state? like Spokane, WA? I'm only 2.5 hours away from there. I see you have an Ill. flag are you from Il? This is one reason your profile can help. You might consider completing it a little bit more.

assuming you live in Ill. We also have a State Route 290 that goes through the suburbs of Spokane and we are in the NW. If you are in Illinois then you are not in the NW.

Oops, in my haste I forgot to mention that. I'm in the burbs of Chicago. Original post edited for clarity.

Thanks for the offer BW, but that drive is just a little too long for me these days. 20 years ago, sure, but...well...yeah.
