Computer Help - Nothing Sticks Anymore!

For the past 2 weeks or so NONE of the web sites I visit recognize me. I have to enter UserName - Password every time. Prior to that all was well.

No new programs installed. Sweep shows no viruses, rootkits, adware, etc.

I use WinXP + Firefox. All the settings I can find to allow cookies read "allow."

Any ideas???

I'm not the guy people come to with computer problems. And there's a good reason for that. Do you actually have any cookies in the folder? It sounds like they have all been deleted, and haven't been replaced.

bottom of that section make sure box reading
"always clear my private data when closing firefox" is not selected

my first and best guess of what it might be

Have you clicked to delete any browser history? I know ffox gives you the tabs to click to delete certain items but I find it stilll resets the cookies as least as far as I'm concerned

In FireFox Privacy setting I have it set to clear everything except cookies. It does clear history, but that was never a problem before.
