I have your son and your family in my thoughts. My heart goes out to you, but he'll be fine. The really good guys always come home.

Be proud of your son, be very proud, especially in what is becoming an unpopular war. He's doing what the majority of kids his age won't and that makes him someone very special.

I know, I've been there and done that, for more than two tours.

I know what you are going thru. Our son is in the region again, for the fifth or sixth time, I've lost count,. He's in the Navy so he's not is the same situation that your son will be in but just being in the area is bad enough. The last time he was there, he was attached to SEAL Team 1 and I'm not sure what he got himself into but he made it back so I guess it doesn't matter.

My prayers will include him and all of his comrades. Please pass to him a heartfelt "Thank You" for serving our country. As a medic, his buddies will protect him like their mother. Let's hope all our troops return home safely and will not have to return to that conflict. Pray for them all. We must ensure that their sacrifice is not forgotten or disrepected like Vietnam. They are the sheep dogs that protect the sheep from the wolves, God Bless Them All.
