Don't' know the specs for what they all had (maybe it was later in the posts) but you might be surprised on how little it is. I would not be surprised if all those boxes combined would be less, minute for minute, then some of your major appliances: Dryer, AC, Oven, joiner, planer, table saw. The big electric drains, your CRT monitor, is not there.

I dunno... 47 computers is probably over 40 amps at 120V... not to mention the impact all those little heaters would have on the AC bill. But my wife would probably leave me just because of the sheer geekiness of a wall of computers. Anyway, I'd much rather have a wall of clamps.

Good point on the CRTs, though. They use about as much power as the computer itself. LCDs are much more efficient...

As for the heat, come on guys, this is a good winter project if your shop is in an uninsulated area. Set up some computers like this and visit all the woodworking sites, while heating your shop.
