You aren't going to believe this!

As you know, through an act of stupidity and grace (not), I broke my ankle last Saturday. I'm bored out of my mind, but as long as I stay still and keep the foot elevated, I'm not in any great distress. Since the router took a hit and I can't use the laptop, my computer use is limited.

Now, get this. Earlier this week, my oldest son called to tell me he was going into the bedroom, getting between the matress and box springs and not coming out for a month. I was puzzled to say the least! He then told he had just gotten off the phone with his mother (my ex, of course) and she was just being released from the emergency room! She fell off a ladder and broke her left heel! He said he was afraid it was something genetic and he didn't want to take any chances!!!!!!

He called me back today and said they had just completed a CT scan of her heel and it wasn't broken, it was shattered! Looks like reconstructive surgury for her.

What are the chances that both parents would injure the same foot, in separate accidents, in less than a week?????? Spooky!

I hope you will all join me in wishing Emmy a speedy recovery AND for my sons' sake, that it isn't something in the genes!

Wow, that's creepy. No wonder your son wants to hide! The universe has it out for you guys!

Glad to hear your feeling better!

It's called a sympathy injury. Hope both of you heal quickly for your sons benefit.

When I was a child one of my brothers that is closest to me in age would usually have injuries of similar types at the same time as i did.

Hm, quantum mechanics says that one electron knows what another is doing even though separated by a distance and responds to it.

        Maybe ...

What a twist of fate. Hopefully you will both heal quickly.
