    Thanks for the help guys!!!!

    I already boot up with a choice of several OS's in different partitions. I use Partition Magic on my 3 SCSI hard drives at home. Going to put Linux on another SCSI drive or into one of the partitions. I'm leaning toward it's own hard drive specially for the first install, less chance of it corrupting my other OS's / partitions.

    I have high speed cable, so the downloads shouldn't be too bad. Have downloaded many large files in the past.

    I have installed a couple of different Unix's (AT&T, SCO, Novell, Sun) on several computers before (ok, YEARS AGO), so I'm not worried about the installation. More concerned about drivers for my hardware, but don't see that as a major problem.

      Yeah, I think they've got the driver issue pretty much figured out now. The major linux distros have worked out of the box for me on about 5 different computers of varying ages and hardware. (Granted, that's with mostly generic drivers.)
