    The ultimate hurt

As many of you know, I'm a White Sox fan. There is a very strong rivalry between the Cubs and Sox, and this year the Cubs have taken 5 out of 6, including a sweep of the Sox this past weekend. To make matters worse, I went to the store to buy salted peanuts in the shell. They had both Cubs and Sox peanuts. Below the Cubs peanuts was a sign, "2 for $4.00". Below the Sox peanuts was a sign, "2 for $3.00"!! Tell me it was a typo, even if we have one of the worst records in baseball.

Any pictures? I'd love to send that to a friend of mine (former Cub)! LOL

Considering the town I live around (KC), they are probably less, hoping you will have the money to keep attendance up. Our team gave out a baseball shaped/stitched basketball. We thought they were going to take up a sport they might be good at.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

LOL. Sounds like something from an old episode of Seinfeld.

I woulda bought the peanuts before I complained.

Is the glass half full or half empty? What would you have thought if the White Sox peanuts were more expensive than the Cubs peanuts?

The pricing could be seen as a show of support for the White Sox.

ps-as a Hyde Park infant, I was only a month or two old when my UC parents first took me to Comiskey Park (in the middle of the last century). The first tv I remember is a Hamm's beer commercial on a Sox away game.

I started to say, "Could it be that the Cubs have better nuts?", but I won't go there.

I really dislike stale peanuts. If they aren't selling as many of the Sox nuts, then they are worth less, because they aren't as fresh.

No, I didn't get any pics, but I did buy 2 packs of peanuts, in fact I'm eating a few right now.

Those were the days. You just couldn't get any better than sitting behind one of those support poles in the old Comiskey Park! And those old Hamm's commercials were great too.

Maybe they're lower priced because the demand for them is higher, thus increasing the likelihood of freshness.

We shouldn't assume that the price is lower because the store is selling less of them; it could be argued equally logically the other way.
