    MilDoc...

Paul, I heard on the news at work today that Copperas Cove took the worst of the storms last night with some heavy flooding. Just wanted to see if you were 'high and dry' or still treading water?

Yeah, we're OK. A little water in the garage, and a LOT in the shop (!@#$&#37. My rain gauge was at 0" when it started - 25 minutes later it topped out at 6.5" and still a little more fell. Homes at the end of the street flooded, but that's 'cause they're downhill from us.

A tornado touched down briefly south of us. Destroyed a mobile home or two and lots of broken windows, but far enough away it didn't effect us. Whole thing was over in 30 minutes, but hey, that's Texas!

    Thanks for your concern!

Glad to hear you all are OK. At least us woodworkers have a lot of wood...keeps our places from sinking.

That's not a rain, that's a monsoon... even by FL standards.

With rain like that you need to find some gopher wood and turn your woodworking skills to building an ark. Glad to hear you're OK, if somewhat damp.

Glad to hear a fellow woodworker it safe after a major storm.

Other than this weekend it almost sound like Ohio at times. This past year I think Texas has been getting Ohio weather, and we are getting Texas weather. We have not seen rain (this part of Ohio) that we can measure since....I don't remember when. A bunch of promises from the weather man, but nothing.

You're right Ric. Texas has been in a drought for years, until now. And just look at Florida! Changing patterns. Our turn now!
