    Custom made dovetail saw

Just came in the mail today … hand made by a fellow Canadian. It’s a lot heavier than I assumed it would be … it will be an heirloom someday. This is one tool I’m particularly proud to be the owner of.

That looks like an Adria. They are things of beauty.

What is written on the spine there? (mine just says Adria)

It’s not an Adria Andrew … it was made by a fellow in Oakville, Ontario and Medallion Toolworks is engraved on the spine. Adria is also Canadian if I’m not mistaken.

That is a thing of beauty, for sure!

          Neander in the making!

I've been getting back into hand tools, now that I've learned more on sharpening and such. For YEARS, they were ALL I had. Learning how to tune them, makes one appreciate them a whole lot more.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

              Hi Ken

You can find him at the Canadian woodworking forum and his user name is Ed in Oakville, and it seems most of his posts are under the hand tools sub forum. I would send him a private message, you may have to sign up or register for the forum but that’s no big deal.

I can tell you that Ed is a fantastic person to deal with both personally and professionally. I was going to purchase an L/N saw but the folks on the forum who already have a saw from Ed suggested I try out one of his saws. Dealing with Ed at least for me was also a learning experience as I came away learning much more than I thought I would about saws. You also have a choice of wood for the handle; I chose cocobolo for my saw. I’m also going to send you private message right away.

Here is a review of Ed’s saws
