    Dale Earnhardt JR.

So yesterday a friend of mine was talking about the whole number thing (not a race fan, would rather watch the pit mechanics).

He was talking about how much merchandise is already out there with the number 8 on it. And how much was gonna get just pitched.

He then said how about a simple, mult meaning solution for Bud number 8....

How about changing it to .08?

I couldn't help chuckling at that one.

Edit, the decimal point is there for a reason, LOL

That could happen. there are other 0# number out there. The old #8 merchandise will just become more collectible thus driving up the prices.

I feel Hendrix will pay Ms Eearnhardt a good price for the #8 if Budwiser stays with Jr and
wants the number. Somewhere down the line toward the end of his career he will dive the #3 in honor of his father.

Not a NASCAR fan, but it would be BRILLIANT on his part (and for his sponsors) to get a new number. Just think of all those fans that will run right out to get all new merchandise. Look at Kobe Bryant. He switched from #8 to #24, and I think he has the highest selling jersey in the NBA (2x). I don't care for the NBA, either FWIW.

      It's all marketing and sales.
