ID Theft victim catches the thief personally

Pretty nice story, but ends with a whimper - the thief gets probation?

Like the heroine says, she was already on probation earlier on...!

That's some story. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. If it was me, don't know if I could contain myself.

How can the sentence be probation? She was already on probation for other crimes. Her probation should have been revoked, and she should have to serve the time for the previous crimes, not to mention this one. I can't say I have much faith in our system or sense of justice. I would have meted out my own.

And what about 45 minutes to get a cop to meet her? I'd feed that to all the local media outlets and let them run with it. Shame her chase didn't take them through any donut shops...

Maybe she and Paris will get the same psychotherapist?

IMHO, probation for this is just wrong.

IANAL, but can the judge revoke her probation if it is imposed in another court, or does he have to remand her to the custody/jurisdiction of the other court?

Seems to me her info could still be forwarded to the other court and she could have her probation revoked, serve time, then be on probation if her sentences are consecutive, not concurrent.
If this is the case, with all the media attention, still might happen (she is supposed to appear in another court).

On the other hand, if she had broken her neck, would she have argued suicide? (attempting is illegal, commiting isn't)
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
