Program keeps trying to install - Help!

Microsoft automatically downloaded new Nvidia video card drivers while downloading updates. I installed the updates. No problem. Restarted the computer. Install started again. I let it run, restarted, same thing. Every time I restart the Nvidia installer starts. I can cancel it but this is getting nuts.

I've tried to locate the install command but can't find it. Searched the registry - way too many Nvidia hits. Windoze was so much easier before the bloomin' registry.

Any ideas where to find this devil?

Mildoc,

Click start, programs, startup and see if its listed in the startup folder. Anything in that folder will run every time you reboot. You can right click on each item and select delete to remove them.

Well, gol'darn, Hellrazor! That's the one place I didn't look! I've never seen an install program run from Startup before, but there it was! Don't you just love programs that don't clean up after themselves?

LOML bought a new computer for her business with VISTA installed. Never have I seen so many problems from one operating system..to the point that we had it talen out and had XP reinstalled. Now things are back to normal, or as close to normal that a computer ever will let it be! Me..I run a MAC..love it..no problems..never had a virus yet..everything always works-always! LOML hates it when I chuckle under my breath.
