The wrong way to cut down a tree...

It's a good thing that chain saws and pick up trucks don't usually mix this badly.

No problem if he would have had overload springs and roll bars installed..........and he drove an m60 tank.

I wonder if his insurance will cover that?
If so, what clause is it under?

I've heard of wayward trees that simply wandered out into the middle of the road, but this is the first evidence of any airbourne tree, miscalculating its LZ.

                  The real question is:

Why is he rubbing his butt on that smaller log?

I think you got it backwards

Obviously this gentleman is using this battered old oil guzzeling pickup truck to support a log that he is about to cut into usable pieces. Perhaps to make something nice for the mother of his children.

Your warm, compassionate theory actually makes more sense than almost anything else, Bob.

The more I look at the picture, the more questions I've got about the sequence of events. Clearly the guy wasn't standing in the truck when the tree fell, so is he trying to remove part of the tree? Somehow hoping the damage won't look that bad from that viewpoint?

Maybe the whole thing was staged to argue for licensing chainsaw use rather than truck driving.

you've heard the term '**** a brick' ... well .. considering the circumstances ..... a log would be much more appropriate
If it ain't broke.. don't fix it!!!... but you can always 'hop it up'

My gut says that the tree fell without help from a chainsaw and crushed the truck. Maybe a storm. Then they show up and trimmer the base in prep for removing the tree. As you can see, he isn't all that upset, so this obviously didn't happen right then, or else it was the foremans's truck .
