    Tool Buying Trip

Just got back from our semi-annual trip to GriZZly in Williamsport, PA. Myself and two other woodworking buddies make the trip (600 miles round trip) at least once per year, and try to make it twice a year when we can. Anyway we came back after spending, among the three of us, about $2500. Its amaZing how nice people are when you walk into a place with a shopping list as long as your arm; actually thats not fair since the people at GriZZly will bend over backwards to make you happy even if its only a $50 order.
This is a trip we really look forward to; one provides the transportation, another pays for the motel and the third guy buys the food and drinks. Works out pretty well, money wise, and we have a GREAT time! We collared one of the sales guys, named Tom, and had him all to our selves the whole afternoon Friday and most of the morning on Sat. Don't know how they work the system but needless to say he was happy with the order, all under his name. Going to the worlds biggest woodworker "candy store" is a rush in it self!

Sounds like a good time. But 600 miles?

I also just go back from Grizzly, only I went to the Springfield MO store. And I was a piker compared to you guys, I only spent about $100 and was only there about 2 hours. Still, I had fun, it is a great place to kill a little time

I went to Springfield with my wife for a quilt meeting and only had a few hours to kill, I thought of going to the Belsaw place (they were listed in the yellow pages for woodworking) but I thought I remembered them as a place that sold locksmith and/or saw sharpening supplies through mail order. Does anyone else know anything about them?
