    Help -Posting Photos

I've read all the old threads about this subject, and think I've got part of the procedure down. However, this is the problem: I have a MAC desktop with OS X 10.4 installed. A Kodak digital camera with 4.0 pixels. The MAC has IPhoto installed. Problem is I cannot find out in "Help" how to take the downloaded pics down to a siZe that I can post to the forum. I've got a ton of photos (well maybe only a couple of doZen) that I would like to share with all of you. Any MAC users out there that can help me? Also have Kodak Easy-Share softtware installed that I can download pics from the camera to the MAC as well as make hard copy prints.
Well thats my problem; would really appreciate any help available. Thanks gang.

There was a thread on this not long ago. Someone mentioned a freebie (I think) software that will allow you to resize. Can't remember what it was. Maybe a Google search will find it.

I use Photoshop, which is way more than you'll want to spend to resize photos. But if you get software that will allow you to "Save for web", it will reduce the size of the file more than just saving in RGB.

Do you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

Do you have a PC as well? If so the easiest way is to open in mspaint and then go Image->Strech/Skew then change Stretch numbers to less than 100%.

I haven't used a Mac for a while but I'm pretty sure they have a built in paint program as well. If so, try it and see if it has a stretch feature.

Have a look at this page, where a couple of links are provided for free image software for the MAC.

You have Tiger, so a widget Image Shackle on Apple's site should do for you.

(I love widgets on OS X; anybody on the 'dark' side (Wintel) has to see it to work to appreciate the simplicity - gets you hooked on exploring more of Macs/OS X).

          Other options are :
Imagewell is well tested and appreciated. I had used it some time ago (ver 2.1) but hopefully the latest (3.0) should be at least as good.

You could also try iResize, heard good things about it.
