    Hey Hank!

Admit it, you bought one of these 'poodles', didn't you?

Apparently a made up story that orignally appeared on the Metro, a Britsh tablod of the same cut as Weekly World News. Amazing to me how it's cycled around the news sphere like it has. Good for lots of pun material!

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised. They have pet robotic dogs and such here. Things like that make the news quite often.

Some of the things people believe everywhere, including here. are beyond reason. I got into an argument with some Japanese that raccoons don't wash their food before eating and they (Japanese) can't believe it. . . They act like I am a crazy dumb American. (Well, maybe I am ) I asked if any of them had ever been camping and had a 'coon get into the garbage. Coons don't wait until it is washed to eat it for sure and certainly don't carry their garbage-food to a watering hole to wash it before they eat either. BUT since it is written up in print, people believe it.

You just can't convince people that all the print is not true, - or US movies are NOT real either!

This is not an "animal" story but one about perception: A close friend (Dennis) who used to live here in Toyota had some English classes and one was with a group of design engineers who worked for Toyota Motor Company. Dennis loves to drive around in the spring and fall with his car windows down, BUT Japan trucks of all sizes have the exhaust aimed outward towards the side instead of upwards like US 18 wheelers. After getting "exhausted" by several trucks one day he decided to ask the Toyota engineers why Japan trucks had the exhaust aimed horizontal instead of vertical.

The engineers' answer: "We don't drive our trucks like you do in America - through rivers and streams and such! No need for the exhaust to be above the water line!"
Too much American TV and movie truck chasing scenes over here!
