        Well, I too have a nailgun purpleheart, I was helping my dad with some rough in framing on a house and it shot clean thru the board and did a quick in and out between 2 of my ribs, another 1/2 inch and it would have missed me completely, but man the burn!!! i didnt know what happened but it burnt terribly, I cant say it was carelessness, he was and is scared to death of nailers, it was just one of those freak things that sometimes happens, needless to say after I got cleaned up, he wouldnt touch the nailer, still wont to this day, accidents happen, and as much as I hate to say it, natural selection is still alive and well no matter where you go,
