Took this out my front door this morning. My toes should not get cold while I am mowing my lawn in NC in April. Lost the pansies my daughter and I planted a few days ago and may have lost the rhododendron blooms this year. I am NOT happy.

Lost your pansies huh. Well, that does look like frost or a light snow to me, I've seen it on TV and in the movies. Just kidding, I know cold. Born in Buffalo, and lived for a while in Virginia and DC.
Looks like you got less snow than we did. Then again it's just the beginning of April..... Oh sorry forget you southern people don't understand snow in March, not to mention April, and even May sometimes.
Wimpy ...... Pansies??!!! Isn't that redundant!!
People around here a couple of weeks ago were talking spring is here, etc. I said let's wait and see, 1 week of nice weather does not make spring, at least not in my book.
What to say??? Nothing but blue skies, 60° temps and a beautiful spring day up here in Montana...
See now that's just wrong. I did not need to know that.
As for the pansies, they definitely do not look too good. We will keep em watered and hope they recover. I hope they make it. They were 'special' ones that Grandma brought.

It's a cool 30F here in TN. Last week it was 80F, next week suppose to be in the 70's again. Had snow in April a couple years back, it was freaky to get off work, go home in a t-shirt and wake up the next morning with everything covered with a blanket of snow. What's with the weather? Hope we don't get snow. It is suppose to get down in the 10's tommorow before it starts warming up again.
