Craig's List Question

I saw an item on Craig's list that I made an offer by e-mail. The item is still listed so I guess it hasn't been sold yet. I havn't had a response yet (within 24hours). Should I inquire again or wait?

I once inquired about a Ryobi Drum Sander ($250) and it took the seller nearly 2 weeks to get back to me. By that time I had already figured it was gone and spent the $$$ elsewhere. (still kinda kickin' myself over that)

I'd probably send another email, but still wouldn't get excited. Some people just don't check email on a regular basis.

Inquire again. No response 1st time can mean person might have missed the email. 2nd time generally means item is gone - and the seller is too lazy to answer all the other inquiries and/or take the item down on craigslist.

I have had the same problem with the Austin, Texas list. No replies to my questions. Also, when selling, I get inquiries like "is it still available" and when I send a reply that it is; nothing happens. I have had buyers tell me that they want the item and then nothing happens.

Otherwise Craigslist is a good deal.

Send another inquiry. If it is still ignored then either it is gone or the seller doesn't really want to sell in which case I don't want to do business with him.

Lately, at work, we've been getting hammered with the following message:

E-mail does not equal communication

So keep trying to get him/her via email (assuming that's the only contact info you have) to arrange a face to face meeting where you can really get something accomplished.
