    It doesn't get much uglier

    After 2 1/2 innings, Cleveland 11, White Sox 2.

          Sounds pretty beautiful to me!

But we'll see again in July if we need to cheer against the Sox, the Tigers, or the Tribe. I could be wrong, but I'd like to think the Royals are out of it already despite not being mathematically eliminated yet

What's ugly is that it is baseball season. That means it is not football season. Not sure what this hockey thing is and in NASCAR of course all they do is drive in circles. I lived in Charlotte for a bit and did go to two races. Never really got it and I can drink beer just as easily somewhere else.

Geeez! I was hoping for a little sympathy. You guys just can't feel my pain. You're downright cruel. I might have to get out my World Series DVD from 2005. Even if we don't win it again for another 80 or 90 years, it'll make me feel good for a while (until the next game, anyhow). It's still hard for me to believe we actually took all the marbles.

Kristofor, I'd be happily surprised if you'd be cheering against the Sox in July or beyond, this year. But at this point, who really knows?

Shame on you for not knowing what this hockey thing is. You might have to wait till next season but go check out a Carolina Hurricanes game. You might like it. Also look for minor league games in your area. To me any hockey is better than no hockey.

I like a lot of sports but hockey is my favorite.

                Hockey - Dallas Stars
                Baseball - Chicago Cubs
Auto racing - no favorites really but I like the lower lever racing the best. It's racer vs racer, not $$$ vs $$$
                Football - no faves
Basketball - isn't the NBA just professional keep-away?

Sorry. Shoulda added a smiley. I go to Hurricanes games every once in a while. I actually started getting into hockey until the lockout took it off my radar. When it was brought back for whatever reason the brilliant minds at NHL decided to put the games on OLN. I realized they'd lost me when I didn't get all that excited when the Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup. Yes, I know that is terrible.

Hey! They won their first game so they are in first place!!

It will probably be the only time in years to come, so let a poor Royals fan enjoy at least one day of the season! Oh heck! I think you are right! Go Cardinals!!
