    Better Google Search Results?

Are there any tricks that will reduce the amount of spamdexing that often gets returned by a Google search?

For example I was just trying to find a good deal on a moisture meter, and when I typed in the brand name and model number, the first two hits were for amazon.com (which I already knew about) and the next eleventy-bazillion were those useless !@#$%^&! doorway pages that either invite me to Buy It From Amazon.com! or that merely include "links" for the searched-for item in a long list of closely-related services like florists and pharmacies and porn sites.

Anyone know of any methods to circumvent this crap?

You can add "-amazon" to exclude links that contain the word amazon.

I also like to add words like "thread" or "post" to hone in on discussions.

You can also use -"add to cart" (minus sign is outside the quotes) to triim some commercial fat.

Also, i like to check sites like pricegrabber, froogle, etc.
