Well the doc called back. No major problems. There is a tiny hole in the wall between the upper two chambers but the doc says that is common and should go away on its own. The murmer is coming from what is called a PFO - a valve stuck open between the right and left atrium. It normally goes away by birth or soon after. Doc says we will watch it at her checkups and may do another echo at 1 year.

Having a child with a serious problem just pulls at your heart like nothing else.
