OK, I know ya-all are saying what's this potato thing. Well, I just got on the potato binge. The pancake thread made me remember about the chips. I remember years ago when my father was still alive, he would experiment in the kitchen. He would slice whole potatoes into thin slices, then baste them with some kind of oil or butter, and then used a variety of seasonings to create different tastes. He would use onions, or cheese for flavor.
Then he would put 'em on a cookie sheet under the broiler till browned and then flip them and cook the other side til they were a little crispy. When they came out of the oven then do the paper towel thing. When they cooled a little bit they were fantastic.

. I'll keep this thread in mind for after Easter though as I love tater chips!
