    Spring must be close

Spring is in the air here in Sacramento, CA. I mowed and trimmed the grass for the first time this week. Sprayed the weeds with Roundup. and Fertilized the lawns. But the most important thing I unplugged the shop heater and opened a window. Tomorrow I put the link belt on the Band Saw and start on my Display cabinet. In the 70's this week possible rain tonight which will help the lawn. If it doesn't rain tonight will turn the sprinkler system and start watering Sunday. It feels so good to not have to wear a sweatshirt or jacket. We will have a good summer as there is plenty of Snow in the mountains to fill the lakes. For the rest of you Spring is coming soon.

Yeah! Finally here too, I think. But we did have some below freezing nights last week. Last weekend 5 hours raking, bagging leaves. This weekend, raking bagging more leaves then fertilize grass. Hopefully shop time.

Then the weekly "chore" of cut grass - weed wack and trim - blow off the clippings and bag. But I actually like it!

Even though the snow is gone here, at least in the valley, still 2 feet at my bosses house, ditto what Thom said!

Right now we have just a little snow on the ground. I just saw the 7 day forecast. It calls for mid 40s tomorrow and Friday. After that we go into the 50s for 3 days, then the 60s! Ya gotta love it.

            Tom, you suck!

After having a nice weekend where I got out in the yard a little bit, it got really cold here, very windy, and we had snow here yesterday. Not enough that I had to shovel, but still snow.

Oh well, the forecast for the weekend is looking pretty good again.

Indeed spring is close here in North Carolina... I was out on my driveway yesterday evening and looked up to see a cloud of mosquitos swarming overhead. Ugh...

Oh, how I miss San Diego, where there were no bugs!

Here in the Phoenix AZ area we went over the 80* mark the last 3 days and the forecast for Sun-Tue is over 90* this is about that time for these parts. It will start to warn up fast and be much more consistant. I'll be swimming by the end of the month since I have the solar cover on the pool already.

Yesterday we had a wind chill of around -30 Canadian. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the plus. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. With the weather warming up I might just get the new garage door installed. Then perhaps I can finally get back to organizing the shop.

We're in for a real treat tonight with a record setting low temperature of -30 (yup minus 30 degrees) and that doesn't include the windchill value.
But on Sunday Spring might come to Vermont with temperatures approaching 50 degrees?

                      Crazy!!!!

Or shorter if you have a heart attack shoveling all that snow???

Actually, I do think Vermont is a beautiful, peaceful place, just not in the winter.

We had a mild winter this year. I usually cut my grass the last of Nov and not again until sometime in March but this is the first time I cut my grass every month. I had to cut it twice each month in Dec., Jan and Feb. I put Scott's weed and feed down this week so it won't be long until I am cutting it twice a week.
